Urgent Appeal for Help: Please Open Your Hearts!

We have an elderly couple in desperate need of assistance. They have been living in their vehicle, and while the husband has just started working, his wife is disabled, and they also have a cat. Recently, they were involved in a car accident, from lack of sleep because they spent three nights in the car. and the husband is now dealing with three cracked ribs.

Update to this previous post.

We have a plan! They have found an apartment, but they need $3,600 to move in by November 11, 2024. The husband works at the apartment complex where they hope to live, and he can afford the rent. I suggested sleeping in their car for the next 10 days to save money, but he expressed concern that his wife, Julie, is not able to handle sleeping in the car with her disabilities. He will be able to cover hotel costs for most of the next ten days.

Despite the glimmer of hope, we need to come together to support this couple and their cat. Unfortunately, all assistance programs have denied their requests, including the DSS one-shot deal. While we can request a fair hearing, it won’t come in time to help them move in.

Let’s unite as one big family and extend our compassion. We urgently need to raise $3,600.

A local church is also collecting donations for them, and every penny counts

Thank you
