David a homeless man.

Once upon a time, there was a man named David. He was once a successful businessman, but due to some unexpected events, he lost everything and ended up on the streets. He had no family or friends to turn to, and he was all alone in the world.

David's days were spent wandering the streets, looking for a place to sleep and something to eat. He would often spend the nights huddled in a corner, shivering in the cold. He felt hopeless and helpless, and every day was a struggle for survival.

One day, David met a kind-hearted woman named Sarah. She saw him sitting on the street, looking lost and hungry. She approached him and offered him a sandwich and a cup of coffee. David was hesitant at first, but he was so hungry that he couldn't refuse the offer.

Sarah talked to David and listened to his story. She was moved by his plight and decided to help him. She gave him a place to stay and helped him get back on his feet. She connected him with some people who could help him find a job, and David started working as a shop assistant.

With Sarah's help, David slowly started rebuilding his life. He found a small apartment to live in, and he worked hard to make ends meet.

We wish it would be how it ended, the truth of the matter is in most cases it’s  not so simple. What this story doesn’t address is why he lost his job? Why doesn't he have a family? And why did he go homeless?

How the mind deals with personal crises is the way most of us do. That simple fact is we do not or we can’t. For some the bottom is homelessness.

So what do we do? We shut down. Here comes the reality we simply stop caring about self, instead of going for professional help. We pick up alcohol and or drugs and self medicate. That is when the downward spiral takes the David’s of the world into the streets. Lost in mind, body and spirit. Without knowing any other way to deal with our problems but to self medicate.
