Steps to Take for a Toothache:

1. Rinse Your Mouth: Use warm salt water to rinse your mouth. This can help reduce inflammation and clean the affected area. Food pantries or salt packs at many convenience stores have salt.

2. Over-the-Counter Pain Relief: Take over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen to help manage the pain. Be sure to follow the dosage instructions on the packaging. Sometimes you can get the pain pills free from pantries. If you go to your doctor you can get a prescription for Tylenol or ibuprofen. You can also find them cheap in the dollar store.

3. Cold Compress: Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek for 15-20 minutes. This can help numb the area and reduce swelling.

4. Avoid Certain Foods: Stay away from very hot, cold, sugary, or acidic foods that may aggravate the toothache. AVOID REFINED SUGAR!

5. Clove Oil: If you have clove oil, you can apply a small amount to a cotton ball and place it on the affected area. Clove oil has natural analgesic properties.

7. The Power of Baking Soda and Peroxide

Baking soda and peroxide have been my go-to remedy for various issues, and they work for me most of the time. If you're looking to try this out, simply head to your local dollar store to pick up some baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.
